In other news, William and Sly 2 has been sent out to sponsors. It could be only a week or two away!! Everybody scream!
I think for my next game I’m not going to be so quiet about progress’n’such. It’d be more fun to post screenshots and talk about what I’m working on. I just wanted William and Sly to be a big surprise, haha.
So anyhoo, for my next game I’m thinking either RPG or fighting platformer right now – something nice and violent. I’m sick of pretty little forests and cutesy foxes trotting around nibbling mushrooms. What do you guys think? An RPG would probably take a lot of work, but I have a fun story planned out for one. The fighting platformer I’m thinking about would be a lot of fun too. I’m thinking surreal dreamworld full of bizarre candystriped monsters (I was inspired by those new poptart commercials, hehe).

I wonder if anyones heard of “Slime World” by Peter Engelbrite for the Sega Genesis gaming system. I think its one of the best 2d RPGs I’ve played. The charater has a water gun or slime gun and sets out through green “slime” tunnels encountering various creatues, hidden rooms and passageways, rejuvenation gems and little bombs. It was a great game.
Actually if u could make an RPG then could it be an animal or werewolf or vampire that can turn into a bat? if u can can ou make the physics like the INTRUSION 2 wolf?
Hi, I might be in the minority here, but I would really enjoy playing an Ether Wars 2. I’m not exactly a great game designer, but I’m thinking of something similar to ether wars, but adding a little bit of command/td. You could start out with your standard cannon and main reactor, and build unit spawner, turrets, buy upgrades for them and your cannon, etc.
I want to echo Dalas. I know you probably don’t want to go back to the world of Ether War (you said as much after the Ether TD), but Ether War was so amazingly awesome. There is nothing else like that out there. I think a campaign mode with leveling and a story (who are they, where do they come from? Is it somehow humanity’s fault? can they be stopped?) would be wonderful.
Just my two cents though. I like the enormous range of types of games you design.
congrats for william and sly, is’t a beautiful landscaping escape!, i have a cueston, how can i get teh first bridge to get , wen sly jump doesen’t get so much altitud to get th bridge an other sites in the sky. please help.
