I’ve been looking at the Unity game engine over the last few days, and I’m amazed at how easy it is to make a 3D game these days! I’m thinking I MUST try it out on something. The only downside is that it’s REALLY expensive for the pro version which has all the sexy features to make your games look awesome.
Soooo, I’m wondering if anyone has tried any other editors and could recommend one. I think I’ll try out Torque3D and NeoAxis to see how they compare. They’re much less expensive and sound like they have similar features, but we’ll see, I suppose…

I think I’m gonna do some simple pixel art for my next game. Maybe challenge myself NOT to go overboard with the graphics…lol.
I’ve been using GraphicsGale to fool around with some pixel animations, and it’s actually pretty fun! It has all the export tools I need to make sprite sheets, so I think I’ll use it. :3

This just might be the main character in my next game. We’ll see what happens. For some reason he looks like a Johnny to me, haha.
P.s. Tiki man idea still possible. Await further notice.
P.p.s. I did an interview with JiG! Scroll down a bit. :3

More character ideas?

After some brainstorming – and a failed attempt at partnering with someone – I think I have a better idea of what I want to do. I’m seeing a tiki man running through the jungle and stomping on colorful birds. It’s like mario, except tropical.
I’ll keep you posted… :D
